The NBA continues to weigh all its options for a potential resumption of the 2019-20 season, and one proposal could see it taking another five months to crown a champion. The NBA took tiny steps toward a return to normalcy Friday, as a small number of practice facilities reopened for workouts and at least one team received permission from the league to test players and staff for the coronavirus.
- The notion of limiting games to just one or two cities would also allow for a more condensed schedule and therefore a chance to possibly finish the current regular season and still get in a full round of playoffs. Silver said the individual would be removed from the playing or practice environment and those around him would undergo more testing.
Roberts and Paul asked Silver to remind teams that they were not allowed to pressure players to show up at voluntary workouts at team facilities.
